Application

It is no longer possible to apply for the Elite Graduate Programme, as it expires in 2026.
As a continuation, a research-oriented study track in physics will be offered from summer semester 2024. Bachelor’s students of Physics can apply for admission to the research-oriented degree programme after their 3rd semester. An application for admission to the research-oriented study track for Master’s students is also possible from the summer term 2024. Master’s students can apply before  their 1st semester. Please note that you can only apply for the research-oriented study track in the Master’s study programme if you have already been admitted to the Master’s study programme  in Physics. Further details on the application requirements can be found in the examination regulations.

Deadline for the submission of a full application (CV, letter of motivation, certificate of qualification for enrolling at a university, transcript of records) is for Bachelor students 15th February each year. For Master students, the application deadline is either 15th February or 15th August each year, depending on whether they are starting your Master’s programme in the winter or summer term.

Applications can be submitted via email sending them to michael.schmiedeberg@fau.de and kristina.giesel@fau.de. Please use the following subject line in your e-mail: “Application for research oriented study track”.

Suitable candidates will be invited for an interview after the next upcoming deadline and successful applicants will receive their offers shortly afterwards.
